You can handle emails better than I can. I assure you, it’s true.

I think I know how I am supposed to do it. I read the email, then decide whether to keep it for future reference or click on the trash can symbol. Theoretically very few pieces of email should be kept. I’ve got thousands.

I get lots of emails from stores (and so do you). What I’m supposed to do is thoroughly examine all the sales (and be redirected to the store’s website), then order something online. I don’t cooperate. Oh, but THEN I should trash the email. I don’t get around to it.

Newsletters appear in my email each day. I should read each one. I don’t usually. Every one is important. I choose to stay blissfully uninformed.

Physical mail, that comes in our mail box, I can handle much better. Somehow I much prefer holding something in my hand that I can walk to the trash can with and dump. I know there are limitations to how much our house can hold.

The email box never gets full.

I think our human minds are not made to comprehend the immeasurable. We can understand money goes only so far. We can recognize a half-full tank of gas. When the refrigerator is full, something has to be eaten or thrown out.

God is the one who can grasp eternal and immeasurable things. His grace never ends. We are never so lost he can’t find us. His love is without limit. There is no impossible with God. He offers us eternal life through our believing in Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross for us.

Me? I can’t even comprehend why I don’t have to empty my email box.
