Comfort Is a Moving Target
It's hard to live a comfortable life. Maybe it's the times we live in, I don't know.
If we agree on the basic idea that happiness, or comfort, doesn't really come from the things we own, then we will agree that a comfortable life would come from our relationships. That's why life just isn't comfortable.
Relationships will, if just left alone, gradually change. Whether it's our relationship with family, friends, relatives, or even with God, constant and vigorous maintenance is required to keep our relationships strong. Maybe that's something we try not to admit to ourselves. We'd rather find a comfortable point in life where we could do nothing and relationships would not change.
Take a good look at your relationship with God. Maybe it's time to get back in the game.
