Bright-Eyed
I'm an incurable optimist. I always see sunshine ahead.
I'm an unstoppable dreamer, rain ending with sunshine instead.
Losing must give way to winning, valleys make room for the mount.
I've got to live on the bright side, no caution lights or red.
How can folks keep looking downward, ignoring the good for the bad?
What is the fun in pessimism, not seeing the happy, but sad?
Why waste your time thinking failure, fishing around for mistakes,
Thinking of what has departed, counting the things that you had?
Sometimes it just takes a little, to go from "okay" up to "great."
You may need just minor assistance to climb to what's really top-rate.
Jesus has sid He'll be with me, every step of the way.
So I go through my life just believing the best is my probable fate!
