Simple Savings Account

Okay. I just woke up to a new day. Will it be wonderful or a disaster?

I decided many years ago that each day has tremendous potential. I don’t need to decide, before I even start, that the day has two strikes against it. I purposely smile and whistle a tune.

It turns out that my intentional good mood is like a savings account. People smile back when I smile. When they hear me whistling, and they know I’m coming into the building, folks act happier. If, behind my smile one day, I’ve got a bad mood lurking, the people that smile back at me lift my own spirits.

I don’t know what you’re dealing with today. It could be something really serious. Slap a smile on your face anyway. We live in a great part of a great country. God’s blessings are heaped up all around us.
