Gaining New Elevations

We finally bought the ladder we've been talking about for months. It's an extendable stepladder, taller than the six-footer we already own, but it also unfolds to be a long ladder that will allow us to reach tall things outside.

I just had to try it out. First I stretched its legs out, so that the five-foot stepladder became an eight-foot stepladder. It was great!

Then I decided to unfold it and stretch it out to its full length, so that I could clean out the eaves. Man, that's a job I've been desiring to do for a long time!

The eaves were full of dirt and leaves. The easiest way to clean them out was by using my hand to scoop out the contents. All was going well, until I found that bees could see such an accumulation as a wonderful place to build a nest. Could have been worse-only one bee sting. I also learned how fast I could descend our new ladder.

I learned that, when you arrive at heights you've not been able to reach before, proceed with caution!
