Not the Best, But I'll Do
After some experimenting, I've decided to teach a Bible study on Facebook. From my three sessions I posted, on the book of Job, it seems there is interest from a wide variety of people.
Who am I, to teach the Bible in such a public forum? I've got a graduate degree (Master of Divinity), but not a doctorate. I don't read Hebrew or Greek. I've preached a lot of sermons on Bible passages but, well, that's different.
On the other hand, if I wait until I'm educated beyond the level of anyone that might view my Facebook study, it will be a long time (maybe never) before I present any Bible study.
I suppose that's a fault we all have, wanting to keep learning until our credentials are unquestionably excellent. Jesus' disciples didn't wait that long! They shared what they knew, even though they learned more as they went along.
Don't wait!
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the age." Matthew 28:19-20
