Starting Again

Vacation is wonderful, and essential. It sure ruins routine, as it is supposed to.

I had just gotten back into alot of good habits. I've been lifting weights three times a week for twenty minutes. I've been faithful to this blog three times a week. I'm back on a diet, getting my eating habits in proper order.

And then comes vacation.

I can guarantee that my exercise routine will get all out of whack. Riding in the car from 8 am to 6 pm doesn't leave much time for phyusical activities. The snacks in the car and at the stops along the way will not be my regular fare, with less fruits and vegetables, more carbohydrates. And, believe it or not, my dad does not own a computer, and has a very poor signal for our phones and tablets (that's country living).

I'll do the best I can. I understand, though, that I will have to start again on many things when I get home again.

Life is full of restarts. Some folks can't handle that well, and waste alot of time complaining about the disruption. The quicker we can get back to a routine that includes all our good habits, the happier we'll be.

Starting over is God's specialty, by the way. God always forgives your waywardness, and will give you a clean slate when you ask. Leave the past behind, and start a new and better routine today. And don't try to do it all on your own strength, when God is always here to lean on.
