The Perfect Gift
Christmas is coming again. We look forward to it, yet it scares us to know there are only "___ shopping days left." There is a lot of pressure to get all our relatives, and a few others, the "perfect" gift.
The pressure may continue until every last gift is bought. It may last all the way to Christmas. Can you see why Christmas is more than some people can take?
Let me point you in a different direction.
Understand, once and for all, that there is only one perfect gift. In all our shopping, far and wide, it's easy to miss it, but we really know exactly what the perfect gift is, the one that will fit everyone on our list, the one that fits us.
The gift was given many years ago, and is still new today. God gave His Son. They called Him Jesus. Therein lies the joy of every Christmas. To know the satisfaction of sharing the Perfect Gift, you must first receive it yourself.
So give yourself a break, cut back on some of the pressure. You'll never find the perfect gift in a store; just buy one that sincerely shows your love. Join friends and family in experiencing again the wonder of Christmas, when God gives His Son that the world might be saved.
