Messy Desk

One idea that time-management experts don't seem to agree on is a clean desk. Does it pay to have your work area tidy?

If your desk is not straight, it could be because you're not focused on your main objectives. You try to do too many things at once. They say, "If you don't know which way you're going, any path will get you there." An orderly work area indicates, perhaps, an orderly method of doing work. Things don't get out of hand.

However, it can also be said that a person can spend too much time keeping their desk straight. A little messiness might allow a little more time, to get a little more done. They say, "If you want something done, ask a busy person to do it."

Now, if it were possible, the best of both worlds would be to have an orderly, focused mind, knowing what your goals are at all times, with a desk that 'just looks messy.' Actually, you know where everything is in your work area, and it doesn't really matter that an outsider can't comprehend that.

Stay focused in your work for our Lord, and don't mind the little things that don't get done when others think they should.
