Read any good books lately?
I'm reading some books right now, and that's a real shame. As of this morning, I'm in the middle of nineteen different books, somewhere between page one and the end. They are all books I either really want to read, or really should read. One is fiction, the rest are not. I have nineteen books with bookmarks, in two stacks.
You understand how I got in this situation, don't you? As I'm engaged in one book, another comes to my attention that is very attractive, and I buy it and read a little, then I get back to my first book.
We've all got to learn to focus. We've got to set priorities, but more than that, we've got to decide what priority is worth being the one that preempts everything else. What is our point of reference for looking at everything else?
Narrowly focus your life on God. Let nothing intrude in your quest to know God more fully.
