Eighth Book

Gabriel is the title, but he is not the main character of the book!  Leon and Marilyn were married for 58 years, but now she has died.  How can he start over, at his age?  God sends help in the form of widely-varied friends.  Somehow it works.

Seventh Book

Loose Ends begins with a funeral.  Annabelle always tied up loose ends, but was never afraid to start something new.  In this final book of the series, many characters tie up loose ends.  It's also a book of new beginnings.

Sixth Book

Charlotte Skelton, first introduced in Sharing the Road, is the main character of Charlotte's Nest, third in the Rebuilding a Life series.   Charlotte's parents die in a one-car crash.  She's suddenly alone and living in a new town, above a store she didn't know her parents owned.

Fifth Book

Sharing the Road  continues the 'Rebuiding' series, chronicling the search by Dinah Wright for whatever has drastically changed her former husband's life.  She finds it, but only through a time of confusion and the hospitalization of her mother.

Fourth Book

Building a Better Raymond, a novel, follows Ray Wright’s efforts to reshape his life. His divorce and the death of his mentor convince him that his present lifestyle just isn’t working. God takes Ray’s efforts in a better direction.

This is the first book of the Rebuilding a Life series (3 books).

Third book

Chips of Granite is a collection of one hundred short pieces previously seen on my blog at dennislanning.com. They include observations of life, advice, Biblical insights, quirky poems, and general musings.

Second book

In Circus on the Square, Ernie Bostwick runs a shop on the square in downtown Barkley.  He sells lamps and clocks he's made from discarded items, plus classic games, juggling supplies, and fresh-brewed coffee.  He loves God, but has problems with the church.  Follow his journey back home.  By the way, you'll love Henry!  Henry never says anything, but he can sure make other folks look foolish.

First Book

The Inside-Out Church, my first book, describes the changes in a small church after a Revival speaker challenges the congregation to live "inside out," thinking of others first.  The list of characters includes three buddies that meet at the pub after work each day, a widower raising his granddaughter by himself, a young red-haired pastor, and many more.  You'll become familiar with Susan's Wild Bird Coffee Shop, Freddie's Sports Pub, Edison Fund Insurance, and of course Old Dominion United Methodist Church.
